Sometimes you have to brag

I don’t get to show pictures a lot because privacy is a big selling point for a lot of my clients. Even with great results people don’t often want to put the “before” out there. I can’t blame them. However, I am running a few test programs/online projects right now that I can share. I am excited about the progress.

The first two pictures are from a test for a special training program. The results are great with everyone. No complaints there. Figuring out how to put it into a system that people can use without me? That is another story, and about 2-3 years away. Frustration

Is it a tide thing I wonder? Could it be the deficit? I don’t know the reason, but I do know that this week has been full of a lot of frustration. Normally I am a pretty mellow person. That might come as a surprise given my online passion with competent information, but laid back I am.

This week, for whatever reason, I have been faced with constant irritations, stupidity of other people, physical set backs, and lifestyle WTF’s? It really is one of those weeks where you want to shake the s**t out of someone.

Consistency: How a pattern shapes your outcome

What is the first thing that pops into your mind when it comes to consistency?

  • Be consistent with your studies and you will graduate with honors.
  • Be consistent with practicing your skill and you will achieve excellence in it.

Malcolm Gladwell sold copy after copy of the book “Outliers” because of the section the dives into the idea that 10,000 hours is what it takes to become an expert at something.

Usually when people think about the action of consistency, they think of it in a positive manner. People think that being consistent can only bring about good things. The Essence of a Training and Sports Movie

I fussed with this title over and over again. In end I stuck with this because it can span so many aspects. With the best training movies, while the goal of skill is there, the underlining context is equally important. This is why I can put Flashdance in the same list as I do Rocky.

In order to be selected you must abide to a certain formula. The following are just some of the needed requirements in order to be considered an adequate training movie. No, not all must exist in every film, but the ones with the most of these requirements are going to go down in history as the best of all time.

All Play and No Work: 07-04

Hungry

I started my diet Wednesday, and I am hungry.

My body is very efficient. When food leaves my body, it alerts me very quickly. I don’t diet down often. This will be my 3rd time doing it on any strict sense, but this is also the most I have ever had to lose. I am curious how things will be this time around. I can say the first couple of days have been less than desirable.

Insomnia and hunger pangs are usually pretty quick to get going, as well as the interesting dreams.  Luckily the dragging and apathy leaves after a couple of days and hits every few days after. Continue Reading…
