It’s a strong title right? Can you change your life in 12 weeks?
“They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” -Andy Warhol.
The statement above couldn’t be more true. How long have you been reading about changing your life or your body? Has time made anything better on its own? Has all the material you read, trainers you hired or videos you watched led to the changes you wanted over time? Have you taken yourself to the next level which takes your life from good to great?
All I want is for the people who want to change their lives to have the means to do so. There are no guilt trips here or assumptions of your life. That being said I have never met a person who wanted to stand still where they are.
I have done quite a few challenges now and all of them have been successful. People have made great transformations and even won a few prizes. This challenge isn’t any different. It is going to push the limits of your comfortably and dedication. If I have to be 100% realistic I don’t expect there to be many to complete the full 12 weeks. I would like to be proven wrong on this though.
Categories
This challenge is going to be a little different. We are going to have 4 different categories and one winner for each category.
- Overall Transformation – The person who changed the most and made the biggest transformation regardless of goal will win this title and prize .
- Fat Loss – The person who has achieved the highest amount of fat loss will be the winner of this category.
- Performance – This represents those who increase in performance skills or ability or increase in recovery and mobility. This is good for those looking for a push in their correction or athletic ability.
- Body Recomp – The person who has had the best physical change to their look through training and diet manipulation. This can be for bulking, symmetry, or fat loss.

oh wow I love the forums. I am not a big poster but I love to read. This is my first post on your blog too. I found you looking for podcasts and simply love yours to pieces. Thank you for all you do and give away. The price is a steal!
Thanks. I am glad you are pleased with what you have seen so far.
I am going to do this one Leigh! Very excited and love the changes. I liked BBEs but wasn’t a fan of the blog design there. This one is MUCH easier to read.
Congratulations on how well things are going. I love what you give to the forums. I am still spining over the bar trick/exercise analogy.
Yeah I think this one is easier to read too.
Spinning = pun intended?
Just joined Leigh and I am looking forward to getting to know you better.
Don’t be a lurker!
I am a lurker…until the powers that be can get my forums account fully rolling:)
Do we have to post up our mobility program or is it a honor system?
Honor system
Dear Leigh,
Would you be willing to post a short write up of the mobility exercises so I could keep them all in one place. The videos are helpful, but I won’t have my computer with me when I work out. I can write them up myself, but I’m sure your descriptions and comments would be useful.
Thanks – Amy, new member
I will see what I can do to get that up witin the next 48 hours.
I like the idea you have here Leigh. It is simple and it makes sense. I am amazed anyone would do it based on those conditions.
To be perfectly honest there is a reason I am doing the first two challenges this way. Not everything is as it seems *insert evil laugh*
Ooh, you’ve sure piqued my interest with that comment, Leigh!
Bummer! I just started the Lean Eating Program. I wish I would have waited.
Well you can always do both if you desire. There is no rule (in my challenge) that says you can’t be apart of other challenges. This isn’t about a specfic program, you can do any program you want. This is a personal challenge with rewards and support versus trying to prove something about a product or system.
Ok Leigh, I’ll be up in my skivvies for the world to see tomorrow- yipes, count me in!
Heh glad someone is excited to show up in their skivvies. I have gotten 14 different emails begging for no pics.
Join today and catching up on the forums.
Question – Where do I log in for the site???
The log in for this site is on the sidebar. Scroll down after recent comments.
Do we have to give compliance seperately of all the activities. Especially, since the mobility three times a week is mandatory, but what about the rest of program. If I said in the log I am going to do three times of strength training and no cardio, can I change that statement later and say I am only going to do two sessions of strength training or add in some cardio?
This challenge scares me. I will have to cook most of my meals and count calories consistently until April the seventh. On the other hand, the compliance will help me stay on track and prevent me from doing a lot of work while spinning my wheels, not going anywhere and wasting my time with nothing to show for it.
I feel almost the exact same way (re: spinning wheels)
The compliance is only towards checking in and mobility. Your goals are not apart of the compliance.
Thanks for clarifying!
Woah, are the challenges going to get harder? Cool
They just might.
Only you can play the “I will put a voodoo doll curse on your and you will never have good luck for the rest of your life.” and get away with it
It takes courage and strength of character to curse people publicly.
I’m new how do I sign up for the challenge?
Hey Denise,

Thanks I am a new member and I just haven’t seen on the forums the change your life log or am not understanding how or where it is. Sorry!
sort of with you, found it once, but can’t do anything about it, fresh member as of an hour ago.
Hey ladies… look under the LOGS section. There is an official thread to enter and a question/support thread.
Leigh, I love the way you set up challenges. You have a great way of hitting all the important aspects like accountability, consistency, compliance, support, mobility, goals (long and short), and reality (photos – yikes), but also keeping it flexible enough to be individualized for everyone’s personal needs. I’m in again, and looking forward to it!
Thanks a lot Karen. Looking forward to seeing what you can do in 12 weeks.
I just joined the forums when I saw this challenge post! (I have been a big fan of the FitCast though before this) I think the accountability and “competition” type of thing may be what I need to be disciplined enough to lose the weight I want to… I’m very excited and I can’t wait to see what all information is on the forums!
Thanks a lot Jessie.
Hi Leigh, I joined the forums, but I just got an email telling me that my account was deleted. I checked my credit card and the payment went through, so I’m confused. I wanted to join the challenge. I hope that I can still get everything taken care of so I can make my post in time. Do you have any ideas what went wrong? Thanks!
You should have just got a email explaining everything. Basically you used a different email address to register than what you used to pay and this is how we verify. I sent you out an email but it most have been lost in transport.
Everything should be taken care of now. Sorry for any problems.
