I like the new music!! I am southern too and I am sure my accent would way out trump yours – but it is sad people equate the way people speak with intelligence. It shows their ignorance for not really listening and hearing your knowledge! I have already given you 5 stars
and I agree, bogus reasons for giving you 1 star. (and how can listening to you talking about jumping out at your neighbors be boring??)
I am so glad about the “Make my Body Hot” series – loved the first ones and I know these will rock even more! (BTW, what happened to the archives on Avidityfitness? I used to be able to see all the old posts, which I love to go back and read with so much knowledge, but now I can’t
). Also, I cannot post comments from my Iphone on this site – I can on BBE, but for some reason, I can’t on here.
Thanks again – still listening to Podcast and it is SO NOT BORING!!
Heh thanks.
The archives and this site in general is going through some changes. Mostly compatibility issues with IE8 users, 64 bit user, and iphone user. It should be fixed within a week.
Thanks for the heads up about it .
I almost fell asleep listening to this podcast. I don’t think I need to buy the philips blue light anymore.
Har har
You are awesome, Leigh. Don’t listen to the haters.
It just gives me material.
Great episode! Having followed Kevin so far through Destination Abs, I’ve also been wondering what sort of caloric reduction percentages you could safely and somewhat sanely hit before you start doing serious damage. When can we expect a podcast on “The Mono Diet”? (kidding) Keep up the good work!
And people wonder why slutty people are so thin…mhmm
Hi Leigh! Is Make My Body posted inside the forum somewhere? Thanks - Look forward to it!
It is going to be in the bonus download section. Trust me you will be linked to it and them some when it is up.
My friend, there is no way you could be boring. Are you joking? I have the worst attention span, like, EVER, and I find your podcasts completely compelling. You are the perfect blend of funny, interesting, informative, and real…………like Daniel said, don’t listen to the haters! Keep confident and ignore the fools.
I don’t REALLY care, I was just being funny. I just thought it was a very unusual adjective to describe me. Like the time I called a snotty bimbo bitch, wtf? Or when I got called gay man, that was funny.
Yeah you don’t really seem bothered but it was funny. I love the ending by the way. Most people are boring and also lack the ability to pick up sarcasm. Great show and I like the new music.
Your lisp was really strong like you said though. I gotta tease you a little!
One more thing I was wondering if I could email you some podcast info I have. It may or may not be helpful but if I could help it would be great.
Info to help me, um yeah shot it over. You got the didgets.
Well, I wouldn’t rate you a one star, but let’s be serious, talking about fat loss and anorexia etc. is bo-o-o-ring. You’re not radiolab, for example, or TED.
I had a question about the high-fiber, high-protein pastas you mentioned. I like to do some cooking, as you do, and for sweet baked goods I have successfully used protein powders (like you did in the ice cream or the chocolate souffle) as a replacement for some flour. I’m thinking cheesecake, pancakes, clafoutis, quick breads… Now last night I was about to make a popover recipe and naturally thought to throw in a scoop of protein powder, and realized I was hoping for cheesy, salty popovers; dinner popovers rather than breakfast sweet ones. I think most wraps and pastas use bean flours, soy and garbanzo?, to up the protein content, but it seems like there should be whey protein without the added flavor and sugar out there. It would taste awful in a shake, so I’m not sure how easy it is to find. Any thoughts on this?
Yeah like Mike mentioned below you can get flavorless protein to cook with. From the ones I have tried AnyWhey protein seems to pick up flavor the best for savory items. Just from my experiance.
Interesting talk about the pastas…something to think about. I actually like the taste/texture of the whole wheat kinds better, but will have to pay attention to how I feel afterward next time.
Oh and look what I found this morning…
http://www.totallysevere.com/2010/01/an-attempt-to-make-it-work/
Just to note I don’t think there is anything wrong with whole grain or wheat pastas. The ones I am discussing are the specifically low carb/high fiber pastas like Dreamfield or Carba-Nada. Pastas high in protein via wheat gluten and full of fibers in excess.
Even then they wont bother everyone though I think it is pushing it.
Oh and the “make it work” = gold.
Maybe this is a dumb question but… where do you buy mace?
http://www.selfdefenseweapons.com/pepper-foam.htm
This is the kind I have.
Here is a fun treat to go with it.
I have been sprayed with mace before and I think this guy is totally over dramatizing. Lol.
RG: trueprotein.com has unflavored protein with separate flavoring packets so you can get whatever flavor (or none) that you like.
Thanks Leigh, I have been getting the Barilla whole wheat kind from Costco because I have a strange obsession with buying things in bulk. You never know when you might need 8 boxes of pasta and 12 cans of black beans all at once
Sorry Leigh switched off half way through this one, being an Israeli ninja didn’t hold my attention and my ipod shuffle won’t let me ship fwd.
As for whining about people giving you a 1 star rating………………… I thought you were bigger than that.
I have been listening to you for about 18 months and love your work, don’t try to be Dr Phil stick to what you are good at
I wonder if Dr. phil’s books have a section on sarcasm and just being funny?
Still in the middle of listening (yah, I’m behind) but I wanted to pipe in about couscous – it’s just pasta, not a grain. Made with regular old wheat. I always notice that misconception because I’m gluten-sensitive so I can’t eat it, and I fear some kind person specially making me couscous so I can have a non-wheat grain…only it isn’t.
Excellent stuff so far, though. (Diet Tim Gunn!)
