3. In your library there should be a section called “Podcast.” You should see the cover of Ask Leigh in that section. “Right Click” on the cover and select “Update Podcast.” You should see the files start to download.

Is it okay to write down negative things in the assignments. Instead of always being positive about goals and dreams, is it okay to be negative of what the reality is now and how I want that to change?

Technically, positive and negative are perceptions really. We have to put out the real story, and it isn’t always rainbows and sunshine. The point is to see the better ending an future than the alternative which is presenting itself. At least that is how I see it.

I have been a long-time follower of Leigh and her research, her honesty, creativity, and compassion.
From a past BBE Forum “Fitness Challenge,” I had the opportunity to get a “diet” partner, which I did. But previous to that, I have a local friend who has been my diet buddy for years. When this past challenge ended, the 3 of us have created an ongoing email buddy/partner support trio. This next week we will be beginning weekly support phone calls.
Here is an email I just now wrote to them, that I would like to share here with you:

Last night I began listening to Leigh’s newest mp3 book. It is much shorter than I expected; the listening time goes really quickly.
So, the homework assignment for our first phone call, if you will take it on, is to listen to at least the first 3 parts, if not the whole book (part 1 is a 5 minute intro/overview). I am doing it on my ipod while I am walking. Each part has a written assignment, which I didn’t do (excuse = “I was walking!!”) For Tuesday, come to the call having written at least a beginning for the first assignment. Leigh mentions that the writing can be ongoing and expanding. I expect I will listen to this book more than 2 times. getting different at aspects each listening.
If you haven’t had the experience of listening to Leigh talk about diet and fitness, you are in for a treat. She is frank, funny, light and dead-on, and she covers the whole being, psychology, etc and it really hits home. It felt like she was writing it to ME personally.
So import those mp3 to your ipod, or listen on your computer. Plan on giving it your full attention. They are short and easy to listen to.

I was 9 lbs from goal weight but then in 2 months, after a mini-goal was met, I so quickly and easily gained a chunk of weight back when I started eating .. whoa! my body said “food=yum! I want more!” I had forgotten how much quicker the pounds come on than come off. Looking forward to the rest of the mp3 book, the exercises, and the next challenge!
