“Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.”
We don’t always rise up in the morning with the gleam of hope shining in the corner of our eye. Mostly, all we see blinking is the alarm clock. We draw inspiration from all types of media and people. I know there are times I need a good G chord to get my day started. Sometimes, I need to be inspired but mostly, I need to be reminded not to take myself so seriously. Get to feelin’ good with these feel good songs.

Not hearing the nina song is a tragedy I am glad we have now fixed.
Yay!! I LOVE this list! I got all excited when I saw that you had Live Your Life on there too, I was like, Mee toooo!! haha, and then Walking on Sunshine and Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, I swear I clutched my heart and broke into song right away! Bennie and Jets – super fun!! I personally am just achingly in love with GoodBye Yellow Brick Road too, so whenever I hear Elton my brain always takes me there…and finally…Hey Jude. ahhhhhh…so lovely
Thanks for making my morning!! LOVE your songs posts, and I can’t wait to check out the other songs you listed that I don’t know yet
I am such a elton hag. Well anything pre-90′s. I have to detach after that.
Oh Oh OH….and DCFC Soul Meets Body…that song literally saved me from winter last year!! Thank you Leigh!! Great Post
Love the list Leigh–just heard two from Blue October that may fit–Jump Rope and Blue Skies.
There is a bar I used to go to and they had 1 Blue October song (Blue Skies). It got played every time I played a round of pool.
Lauryn Hill…swoon. I loved that album. What happened to her?
There is an untold rule that if you get 100 grammys in one year you have to stop for at least 15 years to do anything again. She should be back anytime now.
Awesome List!
love the list! So true how a song can change your attitude and your day!
You’ve almost redeemed yourself for the last list!
I love Nina.
Ha almost eh?
Awesome! Thanks Leigh, this has made my morning (and probably my day too) =D
I think there is one more to add to this fun list-Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch-”Good Vibrations.” Why did he put his shirt back on ?
I am not sure but there are still plenty of movies where we can see him remove it again. Fear was on the other night.

Another great list!!! Try feeling sad listening to “send me on my way”… I downloaded that after seeing ICE AGE. I have to re-download it now!
I saw them in concert when I was, geez, 16 and was blown away by their live performance. While I have never gotten into their stuff on a huge level, that song always brings a smile to my face.
