1 article I don’t have to write now
Well scratch my long winded dedication to the Time Magazine article, Tom Venuto covered it very well. Looks like I will have to put a spin on it later. It’s a great article Tom did, I highly recommend checking it out.

3 weird food facts that won’t be making it into Body By Eats, but I thought I would share
-Ketchup was sold in the 1830′s as medicine.
-The cashew nut in its natural state contains a poisonous oil. Roasting removes the oil and makes the nuts safe to eat.
-In the 17th-century, farmers in New York City built a wall to keep pigs from roaming. The street running along this wall was called Wall Street.

Scott Tousignant is having another transformation challenge. I have known Scott for a little while now and first took notice of Scott as he was apart of Tom Venuto’s Inner Circle. Scott is just a really nice guy and you can be assured that if you need someone to support you during a challenge, Scott will do that.
No affiliate link or anything, just go check it out if looking to get involved in a challenge. I believe it starts on the 7th of Sept, so get in now.

1 album you need to check out

Dinosaur Jr. has been a band I loved ever since I heard that rough and gruff intro on “Out There.” J Mascis, the lead singer, has a very raw and emotional filled voice that just can’t be imitated or killed by time. Their latest release, Farm, is some of their best works yet. While some classic fans may not like it because it does have a bit more of a produced quality than previous works, the raw emotion is still delivered.

Just read that article on Tom’s blog. Great stuff, but I would still like ot see what you have to say too.
I will look into a different angle and see what comes up.
I actually visited Tom’s site today and he nailed it. For those of us who work with people everyday on weight loss and fitness, information like this is frustrating.
I have a message to anyone struggling with weigh loss and fitness training. Just remember that better fitness is a lifestyle and a pursuit. Somedays will be better than others. Stick with it and seek advice from people like Leigh who have devoted their life to helping people.
Best of luck!
Jason

I love those random bits of info!
I like Scott’s attitude. I don’t think that he is the best at a lot of the technical details, but he doesn’t really pretend to be either. No everyone in this field has to be a know it all.
Also that Jillian stuff is a joke. I can’t believe after all that harping in that moronic book of hers that she is pimping those kind of supplements. That is an epic fail.
Love Dinosaur Jr! Thumbs up Leigh.
Oh yeah – Tom’s post is bang-on! Highly recommend giving it a read. I look foward to your take, LP!
I was actually going to pass on it but gave in. It’s created quite a stir and I’ve currently been lured into a pissing contest (gotta stop taking the bait).
The implication that exercise somehow transforms us into these ravenous junk-craving zombies is beyond hilarious.
This Cloud guy definitely comes from the Gary Taubes school of cherry picking and ambiguity.
Weight-loss tips and Dinosaur Jr. all in the same blog- ahh love it!! You’re right Leigh- Masics’ voice is inimitable and timeless. Listening to the songs reminded me of my first college job as an overweight dj playin’ rock tunes. Still overweight, but not givin’ up! Thanks a lot!
I don’t agree with all that Tom wrote. You shouldn’t have to be hungry all the time that you want to eat your arm off.
I thought that the stockade on wallstreet was built as a defensive measure by the Dutch against the British. I had never heard the pig one before.
I did find a reference to the pig one:

Looks like we have some differing theories. Maybe some bailout money can be used to investigate this…
