Low carb/high protein tortillas are disgusting
Not only do they taste like glue, they are full of wheat gluten. This is what gives it the extra protein and texture. While and am not an alarmist, even that amount of gluten isn’t healthy for people guts. Instead of trying to eat “healthy” using most low carb foods, you would be better off with the white flour tortilla. The best low carb food, is whole food. The best benefit is it doesn’t taste like ass.
The Holy Grail of Transformation?
Tom Venuto just released a special book called “The Holy Grail of Transformation” to his “Burn The Fat Inner Circle Members”. If you aren’t a member of Tom’s site, get on it now. I just got a chance to look over the book this weekend and it’s better than anything I have been asked to pimp in months and for 700% less the cost. Tom is a straight shooter and I am here to tell you, bodybuilding isn’t dead. Stay tuned for more on that later too. Sign up now for Tom’s new manual.

Consults/Program Designs will be announced Wednesday. Members only.
I am going to be doing programs and consults again. It will be members only so if you aren’t a member sign up now.
Cut or don’t cut, but make the decision.
You know what I don’t do to myself, even if my physique isn’t 100% perfect? I don’t flip-flop on a daily basis about my goals. I allow myself to just not do it. You would be surprised how rewarding it is mentally to accept maintenance.
JP Fitness Summit.
Awesome speakers and if something you can do, I highly recommend it.
Contests are coming up
A few neat prizes coming up including the freestyle trainer and rings I was talked about in a recent post.
Need a timer for interval training?
Doing timed intervals and need something better than looking at the clock? Check this out.

Great thoughts!!! I’m a big fan of Tom Venuto’s blog as well. I agree with making a decision on whether to cut. For the longest time I was always a dolphin…it wasn’t until your forum contest that I finally decided to cut once and for all…to see how lean I can get. Keep up the good work! Heres to hoping I win the freestyle trainer!
I’ll try to put in a good word about the trainer
That video was hilarious Leigh, I just signed up as a member and am looking forward to a phone consult.
Awesome, looking forward to getting to know you Gina.
Leigh will you be just doing fat loss with your consults ?
Absolutely not, I will have everything from lean bulks to business available.
“You would be surprised how rewarding it is mentally to accept maintenance.”
I would also add that it’s surprising how beneficial it is to forgive yourself when you screw up temporarily, instead of endlessly flagellating yourself.
Agreed, great point Amy.
Exciting things! Great video,
Thanks.
I got “The Holy Grail of Transformation” and really liked it. I lost fat and gained muscle as a newbie lifter, and at the time I didn’t even know it was supposed to be hard to do. Glad nobody told me! Tom’s new book helped me understand what’s going on so much better.
Tom is a good guy and I can always depend on his material to be top notch.
Fame! I’m so happy
Atta-Girl!
I actually really love the jospehs brand pitas and flax wraps you can get . They are only 60 calories and to me they taste really good

Leigh- what about these might not be good for me to be having? I do see the wheat gluten, but why is it not good for me in your opinion?
I have the same question. The TJ’s low-carb wraps seem fine and guilt-free to me. I use them to make pizza, so I’m not inhaling a few of them and I’m not really sure what they taste like. I don’t get an upset stomach or anything though.
“Cut or don’t cut, but make the decision.” Love it!
In February I finally decided to be at maintenance (122) and I am so much happier, mentally healthier and have so much more energy. I don’t weigh117 or have my ulitmate dream body, but what I have is so much better = my sanity. Thank you once again for your words or wisdom.
Another great interval timer I recently got is the Ultra Timer app for iPhone/iTouch. It is programmable with lots of options, so you can put in every workout you like with description, color-coding, and a whole menu of sound effects to choose from as well. Plus, you can control your music through that screen so if you want to skip a song, or crank one up, you don’t have to exit the app to do so.
I think acceptance is one of the best gifts we can offer ourselves, Leigh. Whether it’s accepting maintenance or accepting that we need to cut… or just about anything else that is. It is one of my mantras (along with breathing and balance; it’s kind of a three-point system: BAB, I guess! :p), but I need reminding about each of them every once in a while. So thanks for this eloquent reminder.
Thanks, as well, for the laugh about low carb tortillas. Life is way to short to eat food that tastes like ass!
Amazon won’t ship that to me because I am in Canada grrr. Does it have a heart rate monitor as well? I’d love to get a combination timer and heart rate monitor. Going to look locally tonight but not sure how much success I will have. Does anyone have any suggestions?
