Welcome to the new website.

In case you didn’t know Avidity Fitness is no longer going to be updated. It will still be there, and over the next couple of months the content there will be edited. A little bit of tidying up needs to be done. I will say that there is nothing nicer than having a fresh and clean home. Welcome to my new home.

I am sure you might have a few questions, and if you haven’t noticed that is part of the theme of the new site. This past year you have told me what you wanted. The end result of that is this website, and the things to come. Before we talk about things to come, let’s talk about what is here right now.

Ask Leigh: The Manual/Audios

I have been asked the same types of questions over and over again. I decided it was time to start working on a FAQ guide. What came out was the first edition of the “Ask Leigh Manual/Audios.”

Inside there are discussions on meal timing, hunger, body types, metabolisms, anorexia, pull ups, motivation, and more. It is a very nice collection, almost 80 pages/2+hours of audio on tons of material. There are also links to articles and resources with more material.

The best part? It is free.

Just join the list and help me spread the word. My subscribers can tell you that over the past 3 years I have never sold one email address, and my emails are respectful, helpful, and fun. The emails by the way will become even more customized for you.

Pass around the link as much as possible. If you find the manual helpful what you can do for me is let people know. If you see a question on a message board, and you think my manual can help, tell them about it. Link them here and tell them to sign up on the sidebar. That is it. Since I don’t believe in spam, you are going to have to do it for me.

Also, Sinead is out taking care of her new baby Molly Ann (congratulations)  sales are down. I kid, I kid.

Ask Leigh: The Podcast

After you get the manual, hop on over to itunes and subscribe to the new podcast. The old one is no longer going to be updated. This is now the new podcast.

I like the theme of  this podcast better because it doesn’t just hold me to discussing fat loss only. It allows me to cover a lot more. While fat loss is obviously my biggest topic of conversation, and not going anywhere, this allows me that freedom to feel better about doing so.

You can find out more info on the podcast in the post below this one.

What is to come?

A lot, but different. I know I have a habit of doing a 1001 things. No longer. I have decided to dedicate myself strictly to 4 projects, and 4 only. It is part of my journey of change, and I hope that you will be along for the ride.

Project One: Body By Eats

If you heard the last podcast then you know I can’t talk about it too much. That being said the site is now done, the product itself down, and we are now moving into the marketing stage. That alone is going to take a while, but with your help, and the help of some awesome professionals in and out of my field, I believe from the bottom of my heart that this is going to be epic.

With it will also be the first time, in over a year, that I will be able to offer a chance for consults and training online again.

Project Two: The Podcast and Blog

Frequent updates, unique content, and more interactions and challenges.

If you didn’t know I don’t do anything like anyone else. I challenge the standards, and like me or not sometimes, I am not boring that is for sure. I hope you love what you are going to get.

Project Three: My Own Transformation and Health

To say that I have let myself go, is a bit of an understatement. It just goes to show you that you can know it all, but that doesn’t mean you can do it all. While I may be leagues above in some eyes, in my own I am pretty beat up about my current training and composition. It seems like for the past year it has been a uphill battle to get better, and while I am almost there with my ankle, I have a lot of making up to do.

I went from being able to dance, pull up, squat, and run to now not being able to do any of it. It was easy to keep pushing it aside, but I can’t any longer. I haven’t laid out the plan exactly, but I know I will be doing it publicly, and it will involve testing out my own new program on myself. While I am highly dedicated once I put my mind to something, it is still going to be very hard physically to recover from all of this. Mentally challenging as well.

Project Four: Social What?

Lastly, I am going to keep up getting to know people more via jp’s, facebook, twitter, etc. I have really enjoyed it over the past week, and would like to make it more of a priority

That is it.

Please let me know what you think of the site, downloads, podcast, and future plans. It really is true that sometimes you have to slow down to move forward.
