Tomorrow I will be releasing the program and sign-up for the new challenge for members of LeighPeele.com. In every challenge I have thrown, hundreds of pounds are lost, goals are met and lives are changed. This will be no exception. The question is – are you going to be apart of it? What are you going to do to make this a change for yourself?
Here are a few details you need to know for this new program and challenge.
1. There will be the option to use one of two Lean Being Programs. Lean Being with Suspension Trainer/Bodyweight or the new program – Lean Being Weights. You can also use any program you choose because this challenge supports all goals – not just weight loss.
The Lean Being Weights program supplies you with a complete 60-day program that utilizes free weights or bodyweight only. You do not need a gym for this program, but you will need access to dumbbells and some sort of bench or stability ball. There are also pre-approved substitutions for various equipment and fitness levels.
There will be picture examples or videos provided for the exercises. There is also forum support if you are having a problem or questions. I am dedicated to everyone doing a safe and effective program.
2. This challenge will be 60-Days.
3. Instead of 1 big prize at the end, we will be giving away multiple prizes every two weeks. Last time we gave away over $1500 dollars worth of prizes in 60-Days. We plan on at least matching that this time, if not exceeding.
4. You do not have to post pictures, but you do have to check-in every 2-weeks. The people who make the most out of their check-ins, give pictures, and participate are going to be on the radar. Keep that in mind.
5. The challenge starts on Monday September 6th, 2010 (the 8th is the final day for first round check-ins). This will give you 4-5 days to prepare for everything you are going to need for the challenge.
6. Check-in and official sign-ups are done via the forums at Leighpeele.com. Only members can see the forums. Your pictures will not be shared and your information is private from public view. You also can (and are encouraged to) keep a log in the forums to track your progress, get help from members, and generally keep accountable.
A letter I received from a member of LeighPeele.com about the challenge.
Hi Leigh!
My name is (we will call her “Julie” until I hear that I can use her name). I became a member of your site a few days after your Lean Being challenge started. I was a little “late to the party” as they say so I couldn’t officially join. I have been participated in all types of challenge before from Body For Life to ttmembers. I never found a site that had so much support from the community or the head of the community themselves. To see you in the forum helping people out and knowing you will read my words is inspiring all on its own. I realize it is a matter of time before we lose you to larger media outlets, but before it happens I vowed to be apart of the next challenge myself and make you proud. I want to be one of the quotes you put on your blog and I want to inspire others with my own results.
Can’t wait to start the next challenge. I will be getting a TRX thank you!! I have 30 pounds to lose all total and plan on losing at least 12 pounds of them during this challenge and my only request is a TRX trainer.
Thank you for your straight forward knowledge and down to earth nature.
Well, I tell you what Julie, if you lose at least 12 pounds in these next 60 days, I promise right now to send you a TRX trainer. How is that for incentive? Anyone else what to challenge themselves and see what they can win? Remember I am always watching. Be vocal, show pictures and give it all you got!
One more important detail…
I am going to do a really big special for subscribers or facebook peeps right now. For those who are on my mailing list or facebook, and those only, I am going to send them one link – tomorrow only – to get the program for half price. That means two programs and 1-month free membership for 4.95. You can’t beat that! It will be one day only and for subscribers or facebook people only. If you aren’t a subscriber you can do so by signing up on the sidebar and getting the free KISS manual. Or, you can add me to facebook here.
I never spam or do anything shady like that. Some people like email and some like facebook. The choice is yours. I would add twitter, but honestly two is enough for me right now. I am very upfront and don’t do hype. I just give good deals and treat my readers right. That being said, it is important to be in contact with people in some way so you don’t miss out and so we can keep in touch. Email is the best because you can get things lost in a facebook feeds, but either works. If on facebook tomorrow keep an eye out or check my wall if you think you have missed it. For email, I usually send my messages on auto around 12:00AM EST.
Stay tuned to more information tomorrow. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments if need.

Well you know I am in!
Question – Are you still going to do the wishlist this time around?
Statement – “Julie” is going to have competetion!
Yes, I am going to do the wishlist this time around. I will also find out who is being naughty or nice because basically I am Santa Clause.
The wishlist is up now, so you can go ahead and fill it out
.
I’ll be in this comp
I’m at the edge of my seat in anticipation! Planning to rock this one.
I’m going to aim for a 2 stone loss (28lbs)..that’ll take me from 266 to 238lbs. Alternatively I do plan to go from a 46″ waist to a 38/40″..I will rock this challenge
That is an aggressive goal, but do able. I want to see what you come up with at the end of this Steve!
Leigh when you say that you can do any program does that mean outside of your design? I am currently following a local trainers program but would love the accoutability.
Absolutely. The challenge is about compliance, checking-in and staying apart of the team. The technical program is the side those things. You can IF, Keto, or use one of my programs. Choice is yours.
Oh I’m in!
I’m looking forward to the Lean Being with weights program!
And I’m ready for a challenge!
I’m so pumped for the start of this challenge! I’m going to rock my world.
New and ready for the challange! thanks leigh
This is going to be fun!!
I have nothing to say except for….CHALLANGE!!!!
Leigh – I have no excuses not to do this challenge. After crashing and burning this summer, there is no where to go but towards my goals! Summer took it’s toll on me and I am so ready to get serious!!!
Well I always say fall is the best time for dieting. Fall forward and spring back into action.
I can’t believe I typed that.
I’d love to be in the competition, I “played along” with Lean Being last time without signing in or checking in, but I kept myself accountable. I’m really glad I did. At the start I had to do a lot of modifications. I’m 53 and my knees have made lunges and things difficult for the last 10 years, and I had a shoulder issue that had kept me from serious weight work. But the TRX really helped me to get both strength and flexibility back, and I think I might just be able to play along with the kids this time!
Well maggie the new weights program is even more gentle on potential nagging programs. With alterations to common movements (switching to a forward reach lunge instead of a regular or goblet box squats) you should find even less pain in movements so more progression can take place.
Looking forward to having you on board.
thanks so much. Now I’m really looking forward to it!
I am excited about the new challenge, since i had to drop out of the first one. Looking forward to seeing the LBW program!!
I am very excited about this challenge. I wanted to do the last one, but I didn’t have a suspension trainer. I just signed up as a member. How long will it take for the program to be delivered?
I am so in! What weights do we need?
This is perfect. I just started my new log this past weekend because I’m determined to meet my goals! I participated in the Lean Challenge and am looking forward to this!
I’m in as usual! And I’m stoked these days. My first round check-in will fill you in on the details.
Yea!! Another Leigh Peele challenge!
My goal is that this will be the LAST Diet/Deficit Challenge I EVER DO, and this will be the challenge that I reach goal weight of 145-150, with a ride down to 140, and then a water/glycogen settle down at 145-150. I’m a proud 149.0 now, slowly slowly slowly got there from 185. Next step is a year of learning maintenance, with the goal of making a new recipe every 2 weeks… and finally using all the Body By EATS cookbooks.
(unless next year I choose to drop another 5 pounds bonus)…
CLARIFICATION:
>The challenge starts on Monday September 6th, 2010
>(the 8th is the final day for first round check-ins).
I will be out of town Labor Day weekend. I’ll be able to do the initial check in. But my scale start date will need to be this Saturday morning, and beginning photos will be by Tuesday night 9/7. So according to what you wrote, this should be legal, correct? to keep me in the running?
These gentle workouts and mobility you create are such a wonderful resource for my body that somehow does not yet younger, even as it gets stronger and leaner.
thanks, Etana
“So according to what you wrote, this should be legal, correct? to keep me in the running? ”
Yes you are fine Etana.
Gosh, Leigh and Katie, are you gonna be burning the midnight oil this Labor Day weekend, making the finishing touches on the program, shooting some grueling videos for poor Katie, or are you gonna have time to party??? !!!
We actually already finished the videos and pictures yesterday!
So IN! Can’t wait!
One other question … did Katie score another honeybun for her work on the videos?
Apple Cinnamon Doughnuts!
Yeah and I was being far to kind based on her recent behavoir.
I have no frexing idea what you are talking about.
Har har har
Do I need to put the two of you in separate corners? And do either of you believe in sleeping while the sun is down?
Lori, I don’t know if you can see what is going on here, but there is a little special event happening called the CHALLENGE and it leaves no time for sleep or being nice to people!
Plus, I will have you know that Katie thinks she is funnier than she is and said I looked like a T-rex the other day because of how I was holding my arms. While it may have been true, she wont let it go and is now torturing me with wall photos, emails, and puns.
That’s harsh. No Berger’s for you, Katie. And by that statement I mean business.
And for the record, although the T-rex’s forearms were small, they were unusually powerful for their size. So maybe in a weird way she was complimenting your upper body strength.
Hey hey now! You came up with that yourself LeighP! I am not going down for you.
Lori please let me have cookies still
I am excited about this one. How are the winners chosen? Because my goals aren’t just fat loss.
Thanks
It is based on how well you achieve your goals
.
I am taking a semester off from school so I will need something to keep me going. This is perfect.
I’m so pumped for this. I’ve been wanting to do a challenge for a while but the thought of being a marketing tool for some supplement company didn’t appeal. Having the support during this is going to be so awesome.
OOOOOO I’m giddy like a school girl. I have been waiting for another change at a challenge. I am READY!!!!
So excited to participate in this challenge. If goal is basically fat loss, is the best program TRX or weights or doesn’t matter.
Whichever one keeps you the most excited, progressing, and works for you lifestyle is the best one.
I’m in, and do not have vacation planned so will do better than last time.
My husband and I are both really looking forward to working this program. Having a common purpose/goal will help up stay focused and hold each other accountable, hopefully without being “nagging” or “holier than thou”.
Looking forward to seeing what we can do!
