Sometimes you need a meal that is fast, easy, and you can make at home. While I do think it is important to use things like cooking as a way to get your NEAT in, most of you can’t spend all day in the kitchen. The Spicy Pizza to Go is a fast and filling recipe with 46 grams of protein. With stats like that you will definitely stay full long after you eat it.
This delicious make and go recipe is in the Quick & Easy cookbook that is available now for members only. You can find out more about becoming a member and joining by going here.
Spicy Pizza To Go
| Ingredients:
Grams/Ounces 45 g flour tortilla wrap (45 grams or 1 tortilla is 120-130 calories; can sub easily a gluten-free wrap) 113 g 96% fat free ground beef 30 g turkey pepperoni, diced (30 grams or 15 slices is 72 calories) 28 g 2% mozzarella cheese shredded 30 g tomato sauce 1 tsp red pepper flake 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper |
Ingredients:
Cups/Spoons 1 8″ flour tortilla wrap (45 grams or 1 tortilla is 120-130 calories; can sub easily a gluten-free wrap) 4 oz 96% fat free ground beef 15 slices turkey pepperoni, diced (30 grams or 15 slices is 72 calories) 1/4 cup 2% mozzarella cheese shredded 1/4 cup tomato sauce 1 tsp red pepper flake 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat up wrap according to package directions. (See Tip)
2. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet over medium-high, crumble ground beef and cook until brown. When meat is almost browned, add pepperoni, sauce, red pepper flakes, cheese, salt, and pepper. Heat until all items are warmed and mixed together.
3. Lay out the wrap flat and place mixture on 1/2 of the wrap and fold up making a “U”. You can also roll the wrap completely.
Tip- You can heat the wrap up slightly (30 seconds) in the microwave, or with a slight amount of oil in a skillet. You can also use your oven. Different methods are going to give different textures/flavors to the wrap. My personal favorite is the skillet and takes about 2 minutes.
