Quick & Easy – Spicy Pizza To Go

Sometimes you need a meal that is fast and easy that you can make at home. While I do think it is important to use activities like cooking as a way to up your NEAT, most of you don’t have time to spend all day in the kitchen. The Spicy Pizza To Go is a fast and filling recipe with 46 grams of protein, so you will definitely stay full long after eating.

Spicy Pizza To Go

Ingredients in Grams/Ounces:
45 g Flour Tortilla Wrap (45 grams is 120-130 calories; easily sub a gluten-free wrap)
113 g 96% Fat Free Ground Beef
30 g Turkey Pepperoni, Diced (30 grams is 72 calories)
28 g 2% Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
30 g Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Red Pepper Flake
1/8 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper

Ingredients in Cups/Spoons:
1 8″ Flour Tortilla Wrap (1 tortilla is 120-130 calories; easily sub a gluten-free wrap)
4 oz 96% Fat Free Ground Beef
15 slices Turkey Pepperoni, Diced (15 slices is 72 calories)
1/4 cup 2% Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
1/4 cup Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Red Pepper Flake
1/8 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper

Directions:
1. Heat wrap according to package directions. (Other methods: Heat wrap for 30 seconds in the microwave, with a slight amount of oil in a skillet, or in the oven. Different methods provide different textures/flavors. My personal favorite is to use the skillet which takes approximately 2 minutes.)
2. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet over medium high heat, crumble ground beef and cook until browned. When meat is almost browned, add pepperoni, sauce, red pepper flakes, cheese, salt, and pepper. Heat until all items are warmed and mixed together.
3. Lay the wrap out flat and place mixture on half. Fold wrap making a U-shape or roll wrap completely.

Yields 1 Serving

    Much better with picture 😉 Great recipe, it has become one of my staples. It also works well with chicken!

      It is pretty tasty and kids like it. I usually find if a kid will eat it, so will a husband 😉
