I think to some degree you have to possess a bit of narcissism to have a truly excellent “about me” page. I don’t know if I am 100% there yet, but I do keep looking in the mirror and thinking “Wow, you are awesome.” In a nutshell, this about me page is going to attempt to give you a brief understanding of who I am. It may come across as an unabridged facebook description, but so be it.

My name is Leigh Peele. I was born in this world in the middle of the night  in a small city of North Carolina. I am convinced it was the start of my being a perpetual night owl. At some point, I went to school and it didn’t agree with me very well. Technically, I have certifications (e.g. Certified by the NASM) and paper credentials I need to do this job on a legit level. It should be stated you aren’t going to find me at any alumni parties bragging about the letters after my name. I am a self-educator and have had the blessing of being able to work with the best in the health and fitness industry. I continue you utilize those resources to this day. I am forever learning and forever grateful to the opportunity I have. Let’s be honest, I get paid to help make peoples dreams come true and change lives, this is hardly a tough gig.

I am not what you think of as a normal trainer. I don’t overuse hair gel and you will never, ever, see me in spandex. I would rather go to SXSW than the Arnold Expo. I realize there is a distaste against me for that, but such is life. It doesn’t mean I can’t get you leaner than you ever thought possible or stronger than you have ever been. I just want to do it listening to Patti Smith and wearing cotton.

My ultimate purpose is to help educate people on the most efficient  methods of making yourself become the person you want to be. Inside and out. I don’t believe in wasting time and I don’t believe in agreeing to dogma protocol for the sake of it. If something isn’t right, it just isn’t right and it is okay to say that. Trust me, my honesty is the best thing you have on your side.

What I am truly the master of is fat loss and aiding women to navigate away from their neurotic and wrongly educated storm. Not many can do the things I can do, but it isn’t because mom told me I was so special. I simply remove all the unnecessary chatter and provide you exactly what you need, when you need, to get to your goals. I am a straight shooter and if you are a client of mine, as long as you do what I say, you will see results. It really is as simple as that. While I joke about a lot of things, I don’t kid around about my ability to do my job. I really am that good. I have worked with people on tv and I have worked with professional athletes. It means nothing to me and most people feel the same way, but it some people do care and take it as a rating of ability. Personally, give me someone who has to work an 80 hour labor intensive job or moms for a challenge.

In my personal life, I have an extreme affection for music and dancing. For a long time, I created music and still do, just not in a career sense anymore. I also dance and enjoy the challenges of bodyweight movements and conditioning. Most of the time my training consist of dancing or bodyweight/suspension system training. However, I still love to lift for strength in various movements with DB’s and BB’s.

Another big love of my life is family and friends. While I have fallen prey to being a bit of a workaholic over the last couple of years, I am slowly recovering.  I don’t know how much my family and friends would like pictures of them posted on a nationally read blog, so I will keep it to my best friend, Tana, my pup.
